本州と南西諸島から知られ、東南アジア及び台湾からも知られる。枯れ枝に生息し、恐らく食菌性。常に有翅型で、口錐は長くその先端は中胸前腹板に届く。

This species is known from Honshu and the Ryukyu Islands, as well as from Southeast Asia and Taiwan. It lives on dead branches and is probably a fungus-feeder. It is always macropterous, with a long mouth cone and the tip of that is reaching the mesopresternum.
